The Day of Rest
Isaiah 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
The scriptures teach us that if a man calls himself a prophet and the words of his prophecy do not come to pass then he is not a prophet of the Lord!
In Isaiah, we have a sure word of prophecy, for we have solid evidence of his prophecies coming to pass:
Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Not all of Isaiah’s prophecies have been fulfilled…
Yet!
This prophecy in chapter 2 verse 4 is still yet to come, and what a wonder it will be, for man will not be able to wage war anymore according to this prophecy which stands very well with this other word of prophecy:
Isaiah 11:6
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
and the leopard shall lie down with the kid;
and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
and a little child shall lead them.
Contradictions galore,
man and war, no more!
Child and beast, everlasting peace!
The seventh millennium will truly be a day of rest, hallelujah!
