To the Moon & Back

Psalms 147:11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

Hmm

Do you suppose that the Lord’s delight in them that fear him and hope in his mercy, is tied in to the fact that fear and mercy are diametrically opposed to the intrinsic nature of man?

In order for man to act upon these key elements of God’s pleasure he must humble himself and admit that there is a higher power than himself!

It seems that HUMILITY is as far away from man’s will as the moon is from the earth, not so far that it is impossible to reach but far enough that it takes an act of God to accomplish.

Harden not your hearts, but all the more, surrender to the higher power of God that your soul may be made to live!
