No Pain, No Gain
Psalms 89:8,9
O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
We see quite often an amazing transformation of words, when the author is in the realm of adversity, his thought turns into prophecy. Quite possibly this principle can be summed up in this old adage “No Pain, No Gain”
Adversity breeds growth and in most cases a profound understanding of life’s hidden secrets. In the case of this psalm, a brief glimpse of confirmation that Jesus Christ is the Messiah!
Mark 4:39,40
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
It’s no wonder he questioned their faith, didn’t they read the psalms?
